My name is Anita Mashaka, and the splendor of nature, the depth of a good book, and the compelling stories of sci-fi series all enrich my world. In 2019, I found myself grappling with depression, an ordeal that plunged me into the depths of my being and forced me to confront my inner demons. Oh boy, ain’t they vicious!
This period of darkness was also a time of illumination, as it steered me towards understanding the impact of childhood trauma and upbringing on our adult lives. It sparked a quest for knowledge, guiding me to explore how our thoughts and actions craft the world around us.
My philosophy is built on the foundation of wholesome living—a commitment to creating a balanced life through eating healthy (let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food), meditation, journaling, working out, and embracing the beauty of the world through travel. These practices have been my roadmap to overcoming depression and living my best life.
